I have taught kindergarten, first, and third grade throughout my seven years of teaching! I have a Masters degree in Education, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University. I've been specially trained in elementary literacy and in the use of assessment data to drive instruction.
I would describe my teaching style as structured with an emphasis on exploration. I have always wanted my students to know my expectations upfront, and for them to know thinking outside of the box and critically is high on my expectation list! I'm always pleased to see how my students surprise me with what they come up with!
