TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 7th year teaching and I love it! I have taught at the elementary level for 3 years and middle school orchestra for 4. I also teach private lessons to about 20 violinists and cellists from the ages of 6 to 46.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I earned a bachelor's degree in Music Education (Instrumental Emphasis) from Murray State University in 2015. I completed my master's degree in Music Education (Instrumental Pedagogy and Conducting) from the University of Kansas in 2019. I also have training in John Feierabend's First Steps and Conversational Solfege programs as well as Suzuki Book 1 for cello.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I was drawn to make my own Teachers Pay Teachers products after transitioning from elementary to middle school. I enjoyed so many resources for the younger grades but struggled to find what I needed for middle school string players. The clip art cartoon figures and cursive fonts made my 8th graders scoff and my ESL students confused. I hope that my products appeal to a wide range of students and teachers.
