I have been a secondary Spanish teacher (both HS and MS) since 2009. My areas of expertise include teaching IB (international Baccalaureate) Spanish, upper levels, and designing supportive materials for my students. I love incorporating activities that engage my students in conversation such as Socratic Seminars, Weekend Chats, and Discussion Days.
I love to engage my students in meaningful and communicative activities. I do my best to make my classroom a fun place for students to learn, while also feeling comfortable using a foreign language. I have been working really hard to incorporate the national ACTFL standards into my lessons and plan my lessons purposefully so that my students are constantly engaging with the language in different ways.
