TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began my career as a Literacy Specialist, teaching K-5. I moved on to fourth grade after that for five years. Next, I taught second grade, moved to third grade, and even looped.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in differentiating as much as possible, which is why I focus my teaching on small, flexible, heterogeneous grouping. I utilize a lot of center activities and I absolutely love my version of the Daily Five!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been nominated for New York State Teacher of the Year.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from undergraduate with a bachelors in Elementary Education and History. From there, I went on to a 14 month dual certification masters program in Special Education and Literacy.
