TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 7th year of teaching. I've taught 2 years in 4th grade, 4 years in 3rd grade, and 1 year in 1st grade. I love trying to find new ways to teach my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a facilitator. I focus on student-centered learning and the goal is to guide the students to be independent thinkers. Students need to understand that they are accountable for their decisions and learning. In order to create this type of classroom my goal is to create a learning environment that is welcoming and caring. Once my students know that I care, they are more willing to be the students they need to be in the classroom. Cooperative learning, group discussions, and hands-on activities are what you will find in my classroom.
