Teachable Moments

I have been an Early Childhood Educator for over 25 years now and have worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers as well as school age children. I have supervised Before and After School programs as well as a Childcare centre for approximately 15 years.

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” ~ Fred Rogers This kind of sums it up for me. I am passionate about the value behind play-based, child-directed learning in early childhood settings.
