I am currently in a PhD Program in Curriculum and Instruction at UC Santa Cruz. I have a Master's in Social Studies Education from Boston University and a Bachelor's in Political Science with a minor in Latin American Latino Studies from University of Santa Cruz California. I have been an educator for more than 10 years and over time discovered my true passion is history education. Throughout my many years of teaching I have educated children ages 4-17. In the last 5 years I have dedicated myself to teaching U.S. History and World History.
Collaborative Project Based Learning Backwards Planning English Language Learner Inclusive I focus on collaborative project based instruction around inquiry work from diverse perspectives. These perspectives are often differing and students must decide what to believe based on evidence. Teaching this way is not only more exciting and engaging, it helps prepare our students for the real world.
