TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently an instructional aide working with Head Start 4 and 5 year olds. I have several years experience working with ages 0 - 12. I have worked in daycares as a school age lead teacher and also a lead Pre-K teacher and volunteered a lot in various scouting organizations. I am currently a Junior Girl Scout leader for my daughter's troop and am going back to school to try to become a certified Teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to find out what my children are interested in and base lessons around those things whenever possible. It's easy to love learning when it's about something you find fascinating.

I have earned my Child Development Associate credential for Preschool and am currently working towards a Bachelor's degree and then going to do an Alternative Certification Program so that I can eventually become a certified teacher.

I am 38 years old with 2 children of my own. My son is 15 and daughter is 11. We are active in our community through Scouting organizations as well as occasional volunteer work. I have also done some home schooling with my oldest child.
