TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi all! I am in love with teaching! I have taught a pre-k class-within-a-class, kindergarten, and I am currently teaching third grade. I have experience with a variety of grades, all the way to seniors. I love them all. I have a Master's in educational administration. However, I'm not sure that I can ever leave the classroom. Please let me know if you have questions about anything... I hope that you enjoy my products!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I feel like it is very important for me to teach my students social skills and how to get along with others. In my room, we do a lot of cooperative learning. I like my students to be engaged, explaining their ideas, and interacting positively with one another. I am lucky to have had extensive professional development in cooperative learning and am also certified to collect data for Instructional Practices Inventory (IPI). That has taught me to look at my room at any given moment and ask myself how engaged my students are and what Depth of Knowledge level are they working at. Additionally, I am constantly striving to differentiate and individualize instruction for each one of my students, so I try to create materials which allow for this flexibility. Most of all, I like for my kiddos to have fun while they are learning!
