since 1990 i have been involved in mentoring young people. Vacation Care, OSHC, YMCA Youth Leader. Studied Early Childhood Education and Development at the University of South Australia in Adelaide.Have taught at a variety of schools in various socio-economic regions scince 2001. this has given me a greater appreciation for individual learners and influences on their learning styles. have taught in Both Public and Private schools, currently teaching a year 2 class in a Catholic school in the Adelaide foothills.
I strongly believe that children should make sense of their own learning for understanding and development.As a teacher I facilitate activities that engage children's inquisitive nature and foster a sense of involvement and discovery. i htrive on providing hands on activities that involve creative elemnts focussing on studemt's interests. reggio Emilia and constructivist approaches form the foundation for children to build on their own understanding through questioning, and discovering answers through the development of understanding

I now have 3 little Learners of my own now, TRIPLETS who amaze me every day. I love watching them grow, discover and make sense of the world around them. They are all so different, i am learning more about who they are every day. A true life long learner....
