TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a teacher living in Ontario, Canada! I have been teaching for 6 years and I have a passion for inquiry-based learning and all things arts-related! I am excited to document my teaching journey with you through the ART of INQUIRY. Even at a young age I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. When I came home from my first day of kindergarten my mom asked me how my day was and I said "I want to be a teacher when I grow up!". It sounds a little crazy but from that day forward I was on the path to becoming a teacher!

MY TEACHING STYLE

As an Educator, I am always looking to learn, share and collaborate more. The education world is always changing and providing students with new learning experiences and tools is what I believe is at the centre of all learning. My teaching philosophy promotes inquiry in the classroom. Keeping the student's voice as the center of any knowledge building is key. Think of your students and yourself as part of a knowledge-building community that comes together to learn from each other, as opposed to the teacher as the holder of knowledge and the students as retainers of information
