TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have almost 12 years experience teaching 2nd Grade in a small rural school in Ohio and 7 years in Kindergarten. After making the switch to Kindergarten I have now realized my strength and passion is with Kinders! I am excited to get my feet planted and to start creating more materials tailored to Kinder teachers!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm very interested in the Whole Brain Teaching style. I try to get my students involved in the lessons as much as possible and give them the experience of teaching other students. The Whole Brain teaching approach allows this and so much more. If you haven't checked it out you should!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Received the Sue Bates Teaching Award in my district 2018. This is quite an honor as the recipients exhibit kindness, caring and love for teaching.

Graduated in 2004 with a BA in Elementary Education from Kentucky Christian University Graduated in 2007 with a MA in Elementary Reading from NOVA Southeastern University

I live in a small rural town in Ohio. I am apart of a small Elementary building that houses 4 teachers each in Kindergarten through Second grade. I have two beautiful girls that keep me quite busy and a wonderful husband. If we are not busy with our girls we are busy dreaming about restoring our house and the orchard it sits on :)
