TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching 4th grade reading, writing, and social studies for three years. I student taught in my last semester of college at an amazing school in Baton Rouge, where I was then hired to teach full time.

MY TEACHING STYLE

First and foremost, my teaching goal is to build a relationship with my students. I firmly believe that children learn best when they know their teacher loves and cares for them. I also believe that the classroom environment plays a key role in the overall success of the students. I am very organized with both my teaching as well as classroom setup. My students know what is expected of them and I am constantly pushing them to reach their goals. Growth mindset is another huge component of my teaching style. I implement this by teaching and demonstrating grit, perseverance, and a positive attitude.
