TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My name is Jason Prichard. I have taught science to 7th and 8th grade students for 17 years. I have taught general education, ELL, SPED, honors, and gifted populations of students. I am currently the science teacher for the gifted academy at my school. I teach both 7th and 8th grade curricula, an engineering class, and am the coach for the school robotics team.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prefer to implement an inquiry based or problem based approach to teaching and learning. I strive to provide students with experiences through which they can explore and experience a problem or concept in order to discover content and make connections. I strive to create engaging learning experiences that integrate science with mathematics, engineering, technology, research, writing, social issues, and controversy.
