TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 6 years of teaching experience at the middle school level. I taught English/Language Arts and Reading, Pre-Journalism, and Dance.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in meeting students where they are and building relationships first. I like to foster a life-long learner mentality in my classroom where everyone can learn from their mistakes, each other, and apply that learning beyond the classroom.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Teacher of the month November 2015, Nominated for teacher of the year 2019-2020.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated Texas A&M University in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Health. I received my alternative certification from Texas Teachers shortly after and am certified to teach Core Subjects 4-8 and Dance 8-12.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live in Texas with my husband, daughter, and two crazy cats, Zoe and Ruby, (but I'm not that crazy cat lady!).
