TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Four years teaching experience at High School/Secondary level in the UK state education system: teaching Philosophy, Religious Studies and Sociology to 12-18 year-olds. I also have two years experience coordinating 'Pupil Premium' resources on a whole-school level.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Focused on differentiation to meet the needs of a typical state school in lower income areas of Britain; I am keen to foster and encourage healthy debate, critical thinking and encourage students to think outside to box. Mind-expansion is the aim of the game for me, I am passionate about philosophy and spirituality; dedicated to making education a spiritually, socially and morally enriching process for young people.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Psychology & Philosophy (BA) Philosophy (MA) Religious Studies & Philosophy (PGCE) CELTA

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I had the good fortune to study at Magdalen College School, Oxford (one of the best independent secondary-schools in Britain), before studying Psychology & Philosophy at University level, eventually getting a Masters in Philosophy and a PGCE for teaching Religious Studies & Philosophy. I originally trained to work in mental health but decided I would do more good working in education.
