This year I am teaching both regular and honors sections of World History I from prehistory to 1500! I have taught in a middle school civics class and a the high school level in government and psychology/sociology. I also have experience teaching both youth and adult ELL/ESL students in citizenship classes and new immigrant assimilation classes.
My teaching style is geared toward adolescent learners. Middle and high school students benefit from movement, class discussion, group work, and practice with writing. I believe in planning lessons that grab students' attention, make the content relevant to students' lives, and engage students with the content.
