Teaching art has been my passion since 2002. Over the past 18 years I have taught grades K-12 in both urban and rural settings.
Most of my lesson plans would fall under the category of DBAE. This means you'll get a well balanced lesson plan with some art history, aesthetics and art criticism, not just a make and take filler. Lessons that check all the boxes on your standards and objectives and impress your subs and administration with their clarity and organization. Over the past decade I've begun to include more STEAM and technology components as our district has slowly provided the appropriate support for all students to succeed with these types of lessons.
