I taught 1st and 2nd grade for 10 years in Mississippi. Then I became the Assistant Principal at a PreK-2nd grade school for the next 6 years. My husband's job transferred us to Texas and after staying home for a year, I decided to go back into the classroom as a 1st grade teacher! I have now taught 1st and 3rd grade in another 7 years!
I provide a hands-on, interactive, center based learning environment for my students. I teach small group reading and math groups daily. I also allow my students to participate in centers/stations each day.
