As of this year, I've taught 13 years. I've taught every subject area, every level of middle and high school, and everything from general education to special education.
Students are not "one size fits all." Thank goodness! Wouldn't that be boring? I love finding ways to modify and accommodate all the students in my classroom. Every day is an adventure. I also love curriculum that is simple and requires little preparation beforehand. We are in a busy profession, and it's nice to have some work life balance. And above all, I think it's important to be trusted by my students and co-workers. I want the curriculum I design to reflect my teaching style and philosophy.
