I have been teaching for five years, and was a special education aide for a year before that. I have so far taught third, fourth, and fifth grade. I have a particular love for the upper elementary grades.
I am all about building and maintaining connections with my students. In my experience, building a positive classroom environment leads to students wanting to learn and grow. I am not afraid to get silly with my students, to create a bit of a mess and what looks like chaos, or to have a ton of fun on a daily basis.

I went to Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. There, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in elementary education, with endorsements in English/Language Arts and Science. I am currently in school for my Master's degree in Educational Leadership.
