I have 21 years teaching experience as an elementary teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, LLI (Leveled Literacy Intervention) Specialist, School Library Media Specialist and Director of Library Services. HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am well adept at grant writing. I obtained $565,868 in funding for My Brother's Keeper Grant over 4 years. I was awarded the ALA Scholastic Publishing Award, supervised the Boro Wide Winners of the 26th Annual Erza Jack Keats Bookmaking Competition, supervised an honorable mention of the 27th Annual Ezra Jack Keats Bookmaking Competition, supervised the 1st and 2nd place Citywide Winners of the 2012 Jewish Heritage Essay Contest, supervised the 1st and 3rd place Citywide Winners of the 2013 Jewish Heritage Essay Contest, am a recipient of the New Yorkers Read Grant, supervised the 2013 GENYOUth Now national winner who met Warren Buffett. I am the recipient of 98 fully funded grants. I also cowrote and was a recipient of NYC Summer Quest Literacy Learning Initiative Camp Grant.
