Add these rulers with the hieroglyphic alphabet to enhance your unit on Egypt! The rulers can help create pictures of the pyramids while the students write messages to each other like King Tut would have! Just print on card stock, laminate, trim, and make sure to print actual size for accuracy of the ruler and voila! Loads of learning fun!

The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds is a book that focuses on Vashti, a doubtful art student who is encouraged by the teacher to at least make a dot. The teacher's encouragement blossoms into Vashti continuing to create art and encouraging others. This unit will be a guide for teachers to use in conjunction with the book to explore creativity in writing, art, cultural exploration, and other social/emotional activities. Flag Measurement Project
This is a great project to reinforce scale drawing skills. Students get to choose a state or country flag of their choice and create a scale drawing of the flag. They are to calculate the area of each of the different colors and shape. I used this with both 7th and 8th graders and they really enjoyed this project. Display completed work around the room. A rubric is included for easy grading.

Social Distancing Geometry Review Properties of Angles and Shapes 3 Days!
These worksheets can be used to review Geometry before starting the geometry unit with Middle School 7th graders or 8th graders.
