I have found that one of the things that helps my readers the most is finding evidence in the text. This literature study does exactly that. Students search the text to find the correct important vocabulary to complete the sentence. Many times it is word for word. Searching the text not only improves comprehension and fluency, but emphasizes a need to refer back to the text. My students have found great success with this, and I hope your students will to.
