Scale model of the Solar System
During this activity students will calculate the scale distances for each of the planets makes 93,000,000 miles=1 cm. Then students will use their rounded results to create a poster that represents the scale distances of the planets. Once my students were done I let them decorate with beads, string, and glitter! Once they complete their posters they will complete conclusion questions as a group.

Use this Rube Goldberg Rubric to guide students in designing their own simple machine contraption. Students must come up with a Goldberg-like machine that features all 6 simple machines.
