It is especially appropriate for the Thanksgiving season each fall. Thanksgiving should be expressed daily for living in such a wonderful country where the corporate body recognizes that we are a blessed people in a blessed nation.

Based on an old "call and response" folk song, children can immediately participate by singing the response of "oh yeah" after every line. This song can then be used as a large motor activity, having the children clap/jump/hop/stomp etc on "oh yeah."The song is also a "zipper" song, meaning that it can be used for the children to add in their ideas of what signs outside in nature let them know that spring is coming, or they can add in their ideas of what they like to do in the spring. A beautiful, simple traditional folk song about misty, rainy days. This is a "zipper" song, where children add their ideas about what they see getting rained on. Many cultures have the practice of expressing gratitude as a way to start the day. This is an echo song, and lists all kind of things that I am thankful for. Solicit suggestions from the students, set up the rhyme structure, and have them change the song to make it reflect your classroom.

This is an original song called, "Win-Win" by kid's music artist Gilbert Rocks. His team is currently producing an animated kids show to be pitched to networks this fall.
The CD is currently being finished in Los Angeles and will feature 14 original songs for the episodes. Gilbert' s management will not let him release the songs just yet. He still wants to put some music out there, so he will be uploading some additional classroom songs for you to use in the classroom.

Them Dinobones is an activity song for children based upon the gospel song Ezekiel Saw Them Dry Bones. While singing, kids can touch the body part the song is talking about. This song was written to cheer up my daughter while riding to school one day. The distance to the school was about 3 miles and it was just enough time to complete the song and teach it to my daughters Montessori class that very same day. I have to admit that it was the easiest song that I ever composed. I hope you may find it useful and enjoyable.
