Rewording Test Questions for Understanding -ELA Test Prep for Standardized Tests
Students will be shown how to break-down ELA test type questions by putting them into more a simple question. This will help students more ably make their correct choice and gain a greater understanding of the question. Students will then apply this strategy on a non-fiction text, a fictional text and a poem (all while showing their reworded questions next to their originals, and then using this to aid them in answering the accompanying multiple choice).Check out all my other ELA products below!

**NO PREP NEEDED*** This resource is a FUN way to teach the standards. It uses historical fiction (this text is an original piece) and informational text to teach students about George Washington's hair. There are activities, graphic organizers, and EOG-styled questions for each text. This lesson is designed to be adapted for grades 3-5. Students will be taught this through, as well as how perspective differs from point of view, through a teacher model and independent practice.
