In this activity students will look at a set of words and determine which parameter is different. This is called a minimal pair. They will write the word pair under the correct column. This is a great exercise in critical and persuasive thinking, as well as learning some Deaf culture along the way. The activity presents two view about Deaf Child Area signs - one is for, and one is against. Students must think about good points for both views, and then explain their stance and why.

Easel ASL Dress Up Game W/ Instructions Clothes Vocab in ASL
American Sign Language dress up game for grades 5th-12th. On the first few slides students are asked to match ASL signs with the images. Afterwards, the students are put into pairs where they describe and dress up a "paper doll". All drawings are by myself.
