This has been a truly helpful resource for my students. With relevant examples, this four-page resource walks students through each aspect of citing sources in-text. In doing so, it shows students how to create citations, where to put them, and how to edit quotations with brackets or emphasis.

Understanding Inferences - Interactive Notebook Pages
This is a page for students to insert into an interactive notebook as a reminder of the definition of an inference. There is a space at the bottom for students to write an example that you may give in class. Also included is a chart that students can use on the opposite page to practice making inferences as they read a book or an article. These pages could be used after a lesson on inference. The practice page could be then used with any book or article.

Apollo 13 (1995) Film Study Guide and Activity
I created this 50-question study guide to go with the Apollo 13 film from 1995. The activity is a mixture of questions, fill-in-the-blanks, and fill-in-the-quotes. I use this as part of a larger unit on space exploration and literary nonfiction in my 10th grade language arts classroom. But depending on the group, it should be appropriate for anywhere from 8th to 12th grade classrooms as well. An answer key is included in this document.

I wrote this brief passage as a way to build background knowledge for students before diving into the scientific method. It has a few key vocabulary words in bold so that you discuss those words before reading the passage to ensure comprehension.
