This is an interactive lesson that I use once I have covered basic community helpers and what they use. In this activity is asks a question like "what do firemen drive to a fire?" Mat Man Creation Flip Chart

Digital Behavior Clipchart for Promethean Board
This is a digital version of the widely used behavior clip chart. I was tired of all the stuff on my walls and wanted more wall space for academic use. So I created this digital one that I pull up on my Promethean Board. The names and words on the chart can be edited. For the names just change the ones that are there and copy to create new ones. This is an introductory lesson to community helpers. There is a song about helpers and pictures of 11 different helpers and a brief description of what they do. Then the last section is a question format such as "who helps put out fires" and your children should select the correct picture (with a reinforcing sound for choosing correctly).

What does not belong (categories, negation, and differences)
This is one of 2 introductory lessons into sorting and categorization. Essentially children look at a field of 4 pictures and choose the one that is different and doesn't belong. When they select the appropriate picture it plays a reinforcing sound. The pictures begin very basic and get more complex as you go into the chart.

What goes together (a basic sorting and categorizing activity)
This is the second part to my introduction about things that go together like socks and shoes, combs and brushes, etc. In this activity students will put 2 items that go together in its appropriate box. The slides initially start of with 1 of the items already in a box so that student select what goes with it, but it eventually moves to empty boxes that children sort by which things go together.

Letter Formation using Lines and Curves ActivInspire Flipchart
In this flipchart, students will use different lines/curves to form upper case letters. There are different degrees of difficulty. It starts with the letter to drag the pieces over, then fill in the missing letters with no supports (two pages of this) then creating all of the letters with no supports.
