When I get to the geology unit with my eighth graders, I assign this booklet project as a way to connect the concepts we discuss to an area they are familiar with. Since my students have chrome books and we are a Google school, I have them download a template and create this booklet in Google Slides. I also partner with our ELA teacher and use this as a cross-curricular project - I will assess the content and resources while she will assess the grammar, mechanics, format, etc.
