STAAR Lingo Word Wall
This is a STAAR Lingo word wall put together by several reading teachers on my campus. We looked through the 3rd-6th grade Reading STAAR tests and found words that might be tricky or confusing for our students.
For example, convey, reveal, & illustrate all mean "show".
We then sorted them into eight categories: Show, Poetry, Drama, Theme, Proof, Figurative Language, Story Structure, & Story Elements.

Zap! The Game (3rd Grade EOY review)
This is very similar to jeopardy. This is a game where you have students broken into teams. You start each team with 10 points. They send a player up to the front to choose a category and point amount. If they get the question right there team gets the amount of points, if they don't get the question right they lose that amount of points. Then, it is the next team's turn. You can pair this with the Zap Game Concept, or just use it as a game on it's own.

How I use this program
This program is designed to get students excited and motivated to learn their sight words. It is based on Fry’s sight word lists. I use lists 1-100, 100-200. 200-300 and 300-400.

NYC Test Prep Short Response Rubric - Kid Friendly (3-5)
****Google Classroom and Remote Friendly******Hello, This is a simple, yet clear short response rubric I made for the state test. It is for the short responses which can be scored: 0, 1, 1.5, or 2. Very kid friendly :). If you have a unit in your school based on test prep, whether this year or any year, you can use this rubric to help students understand how their short responses are scored and why. I use the acronym ADD - Answer, Detail, Detail. It is short and sweet and gets to the point.

Vowel Answer Cards for Popsicle Sticks
Laminate, cut, and glue onto a Popsicle stick. Place into a ziploc bag and use as answers sticks for whole group activities when working on vowel sounds in cvc words. I have a set for each student and we use them as a warm up each day at morning meeting.
