Thanksgiving Syllable Sort
Kindergarten and first grade students will strengthen their phonemic awareness and syllabication skills as they celebrate Thanksgiving. I always feel that if you are going to take the trouble of printing off a crossword puzzle for everyone it should a least last 10 to 15 minutes and be somewhat challenging. This is a humorous Thanksgiving Reader's Theater I wrote for an RTI class. It is appropriate for grades 3-5. There are nine speaking parts and takes about 11 minutes to perform.
