Description

Your students will have their short story story written and completed in 15 days! This unit includes activities, specific lesson plans and every thing you need to help your students. My kids were very successful during this unit and enjoy it every year. It's positively directed but fast paced.

How to Write a Short Story
Day 1: Background Survey & Getting Excited Activity
Day 2: Character Development
Day 3: Continue Character Development & Setting Development: Where, When and Weather
Day 4: Conflict or Problem and Solution
Day 5: Rising Action and Falling Action/Resolution
Day 6: Point of View
Day 7: Write the first two paragraphs (Getting their feet wet)
Day 8: Review dialogue rules; Write first page
Day 9: Continue typing
Day 10: First Draft is Due!
Day 11: Type
Day 12: Color Code Sensory Imagery
Day 13: Second Draft is Due! Peer Edit!
Day 14: Final Draft is Due!
Day 15: Add Illustrations and Cover with Terrific Title
