TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching in the same school for 24 years. The one thing I've found beneficial to teaching is always keeping myself trained in the best practices to give my students the best chance for success.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm an old school type teacher with a lot of modern flair. I'm ESL certified, ELF trained, and CGI trained. Cooperative groups have taken over my classroom.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I went to a small school growing up in Greenland, Arkansas. From there I went to the University of Arkansas where I majored in Elementary Education. I had no desire to continue growing in my education until 2 years ago when I joined a team of teachers from my district that completed Project Rise to become ESL certified. All of those classes gave me the encouragement that I needed to go back and get my master's degree.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I was a member of The Marching Razorbacks and Hogwild Band while attending the University of Arkansas. I took that as a chance to be a representative of our Great State and to be a representative that my fellow Arkansans would be proud of.
