TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught English at the junior high level for five years. I then taught 9th, 11th, and 12th grade English in combined classes with physical science, U.S. history, and government at an innovative school that focused on cross-curricular classes and project-based learning. I now work at BYU-Idaho creating academic video content for university courses.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is very high energy and goofy, and my lessons are fun and engaging while still being real-world applicable and tied to the Common Core Standards.

I graduated from Brigham Young University - Idaho in 2006 with a major in English Ed and a minor in Spanish.

I'm a father of four: 17-year-old and 15-year-old daughters and 13-year-old twin boys. I love rock climbing, playing guitar, writing and reading books, and going to movies. Oh, and teaching! When I grow up, I want to be a published author of young-adult fiction.
