By Art Teacher in LA Hi there! I’m Maria Galloway. I’ve been teaching and developing art programs, lessons, and products for over 16yrs. I have taught in all aspects of art education, from toddlers, all the way to adults. In-school art, after-school art enrichment, art camps, workshops, and online art classes. I began as a pre-school teacher and then followed my love of art into teaching studio art classes. In 2011, I made took a leap and co-founded Viridian Art Academy, Los Angeles Based Art Studios. At the same time, I also took the position of creating the K-8 Art Program at Hesby Oaks Charter in Encino, Ca. I am a classically trained oil painter, but love ceramics, paper arts, watercolors, and anything creative I can get my hands on. My studies include: Studio Art at San Diego State University. Ceramics at Cal State Northridge. Social Emotional Arts certification from UCLA Arts and Healing Drawing and Painting at Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art.
