Katie Robertson is currently the Editor and Web Administrator for the Oklahoma Music Educators' Association (OkMEA) and maintains a private piano studio. Katie has five years of classroom experience, PK-12. Lindsey Schroder is a K-5th General Music Teacher with Chisholm Public Schools in Enid, OK. She is beginning her eleventh year as a music teacher, which began in Dover teaching PreK-12th Grade music/choir, following with the next four years at Enid Public Schools.
Katie Robertson and Lindsey Schroder are both nationally-certified Kodaly teachers. They use the information gathered during their certification program to sequence their curricula building on concepts using preparation, presentation, and practice activities. Both Katie and Lindsey like to use a variety of methods in their classrooms and especially enjoy interactive technology resources.
Both Katie and Lindsey were named the Oklahoma Music Educators Association Outstanding Young Music Educator in 2011 and 2013, respectively. Katie has presented technology workshops for OSU music students, Kodaly levels students, OkMEA, and OCDA. Lindsey has presented a program workshop for OCDA. Katie has also published classroom organization and technology articles in Oklahoma Music Magazine, Bluegrass News, and the California Music Educators' Association magazine.
Katie Robertson holds a Masters of Music Education: Kodaly Emphasis from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education: Oboe Emphasis from Oklahoma Baptist University. Katie is also a nationally-certified Kodaly teacher and a licensed Kindermusik educator. Lindsey Schroder holds a Bachelors of Music Education: Vocal/Choral from Oklahoma State University and is also a nationally-certified Kodaly teacher.
