TEACHING EXPERIENCE

As an undergraduate mathematics student, I worked as a research assist for faculty in the mathematics department at The University of Texas at Brownsville. I have six years experience teaching in the secondary public school sector. Three of those years have been at an academy campus which caters to students who have dropped-out, or are labeled credit recovery. I currently teach Algebra 1 at an Early College.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Very visual. For that reason the use of technology is very extensive in my classroom. Ex: {TI-Navigators, Geogebra, Google Sketchup, TI-Smart View, Mimio Teach, Mobi View, Geometer's Sketchpad, Educanon ect..} Since I'm the technology coordinator at my campus, I have access to all equipment, and train teacher who want training. For the past 3 years I have flipped my classes through the use of technology & love it.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Graduated from The University of Texas at Brownsville with a Bachelors of Science (Mathematics). Completed 6 hours of Masters in Mathematics to date.
