TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught U.S. History, A.P. U.S. History, World History, middle school geography, and U.S. History and American Studies courses at the college level. I've also worked as professional development coordinator and content creator for universities and online programs. I am currently an instructor for a concurrent U.S. History course.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Interactive and student-centered. I work with the technology given to me, so most of my lessons are no-frills--made in Word, Powerpoint, or using Smartboard technology. The majority of my experience has been in low-income, high-risk schools with struggling students, so my lessons are primarily for on-level students with limited resources. They have worked for me, so hopefully they will work for you too!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Full-time teacher and wife, with several semesters of perfect attendance (although not all!).

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

B.A., Wheelock College M.A., University of Illinois at Chicago

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love teaching, history, my husband and family, and being outdoors!
