TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After a year of subbing, I have spent 20 years teaching 7th and 8th grade Social Studies. I teach U.S. History and the Western Hemisphere.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am not the biggest fan of the textbook. I like projects, student-centered learning, making connections with current events. I don't like assigning (or grading!) busy work. I am very organized and structured.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Nothing on paper officially, but I am the teacher that students say they learn the most from in my grade level. I wear it with honor!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelors Degree from UW Oshkosh and Masters Degree from Viterbo University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My first love is teaching. I can't imagine doing anything else for a job!
