My teaching experience includes grades K-12 in both public and private schools, and encompasses both Inner city and affluent settings. My original cross-curriculum lessons have opened doors for me as an Inservice Presenter and author. My articles and lessons have been published in Teaching K-12 and Teacher Created Materials.
Most of my lessons are cross-curricular units which make connections between subjects. Many derived their motivation from art, artists or architecture. Some begin with a content standard. Others originate from a topic. A variety of instructional strategies are presented in my lessons, such as: experimentation, observation, the Scientific Process and the Architectural Process-strategies that encourage higher level thinking skills. In addition, all lessons include reading and writing. Reviews of my work state: "...her lessons were built around the essential question, "how does this object, artwork, artifact or performance reflect how cultural groups change over time?" National Arts consortium 2003 Report "...all her lessons involve teaching: Math, Science, Language Arts and Citizenship." Creative Classroom March/April 2003

Teaching was such a motivating part of my life for so many years that adapting to retirement has been difficult for me.My time teaching at The School of Arts was a magical period in my life. The school had just received a grant from the Annenberg Foundation for the Arts. We taught subjects through art.! Many of the lessons presented here are from that time. People used to ask me what I did for fun and I would tell them, "I write lessons."
