I have really fallen in love with teaching. Every child has a different way of learning. I feel like I've found my calling, teaching my own kids.
Our homeschool is eclectic but we are Charlotte Mason inspired.

I was a "bad" student growing up in the public school system. I never did my homework but would get good grades because I was good at test taking. When I turned 18, I went and took the GED test and passed with a perfect score in math and the highest ranking overall score in the district. Since then, I have chosen to allow my children to lean into their interests. And also to allow our learning to go at a slower pace. I choose to focus on teaching the lessons and helping the student to gain knowledge, without test taking.
