Nine years focusing on social studies and history. Currently in my fourth year teaching Language and Literature within the International Baccalaureate program. Throughout my years of teaching, I have gained valuable experience in creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and developing meaningful relationships with students. I have also had the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of ability, which has helped me to become a more flexible and adaptable educator. Overall, I am passionate about teaching and enjoy helping students to reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom.
When it comes to teaching, it's important to focus on engaging students. This means creating an environment where students feel excited and motivated to learn. One way to do this is by incorporating interactive activities and group discussions into the curriculum. Another approach is to use real-world examples and case studies to make the material more relevant and interesting to students. Ultimately, the goal is to create an atmosphere where students are actively participating in their own learning process, rather than just passively absorbing information.

I am a high school drop out! Once I realized how school failed me, a once devoted student, I made sure to keep myself moving to make sure I never turned into that type of teacher for my students.
I am from a bi-cultural family in Ecuador, always caught up trying to make the best of two worlds. I can't wait to learn more every day!
