TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching is my third full time career and I've been teaching Intermediate since 2000 (including some prep pay back in all grades over that time). Previous to that, I worked in Corrections (which, believe it or not, has many transferable skills to teaching).

MY TEACHING STYLE

Nice to know versus need to know. Preparing real people for the real world by learning through play and exposure to problem solving collaboratively.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Not "fluffy" enough to win many awards, but the hundreds of letters from parents thanking me for helping little Johnny jump through academic hoops, understand just about anything, and helping him to develop a sense of pride and accomplishment is good enough for me.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

3 Year College Diploma, 4 Year B.A., 1 Year B.Ed., COTP training
