1. From 2004 to 2011, Mrs. Furlanetto-Lund worked as an English language teacher at a prestigious network of language schools (Wizard), where she also worked as a Coordinator and a Pedagogical Director. 2. From 2011 to 2016, she worked as an English Professor at Santa Cruz University in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil during the evenings. 3. From 2012 to 2016 she worked as an Elementary and High School teacher at an International American school in Curitiba, teaching Portuguese as a second language, which provided her with extensive experience in this field. 4. From 2016 to 2021, Mrs. Furlanetto-Lund started teaching Portuguese at an Elementary Public School in Utah, USA, Sunrise Elementary. There she taught 1st and 5th grade. 5. In 2021, she started working at Ben Lomond High School as a Multilingual Literacy teacher (10-12 grades), and this is her current position.
Mrs. Furlanetto-Lund believes in a current view of the globalized teacher. She thinks of students as the main characters in a process that teachers design with them and for them. This Process always emphasizes the best techniques and methods to accomplish every teacher's goal: teaching beyond the classroom.
* 2017 Hats Off Award - Sunrise Elementary School - Cache County School District. * 2020-21 - Teacher of the Year Award - Sunrise Elementary School - Cache County School District. * In 2019, she published the book The Global Teacher and English Language Teaching: a post-method view through Intersaberes publisher. This book was the motivation to start The Global Teacher Channel - O Canal do Professor Global (2020) on YouTube. This way, she feels fulfilled by being able to write, discuss and contribute, even if minimally, to the teaching/learning process of teachers and future teachers.
Priscila Furlanetto-Lund has a Bachelor’s in Language Arts-Portuguese/English (2004) from São Paulo State University (UNESP), a Master’s degree in Literature and Social Life (2008) from UNESP, and a Master’s degree in Education, Learning, and Technology (2019) from Western Governors University in the United States. Since she was a little girl, she knew she would be a teacher. Through this profession, she contributes socially, contradicting everything she heard about being a teacher.
Priscila Furlanetto-Lund was born and raised in her hometown, Jaú, located in the countryside of São Paulo State in Brazil, on December 11th, 1982. She moved to Utah, United States, in 2016 to teach Portuguese as a foreign language at an Elementary public school. Soon, she met Andy Lund, to whom she got married in 2017. Currently, she lives in Huntsville, Utah, a peaceful town in the mountains located in Ogden Valley.
