I have been teaching Mathematics since 1983. Sharing resources with newer teachers to make their lives easier is one of my passions. Why? My first teaching job was in a small school with four preps – Consumer Math, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. That year every evening was spent making lesson plans, working homework problems ahead of time (so I didn’t look like an idiot the next day), and grading homework and tests. Taking two evening graduate math class at a university an hour and a half away, being Junior Class sponsor, and getting conned into selling tickets at every home game didn’t help. Now 25 years later, having taught everything from 7th grade to Calculus (after finishing that Master’s in Mathematics!), I found myself thinking of those days and how many millions of teachers’ hours are spent reinventing the wheel. Life, my friend, is too short for that! How? Though still a work in progress, after years of tweaking lesson plans, the problems I show my students are in a progressive order (pretty much) and have the right little “twists”. Tests & quizzes have the bugs (almost) worked out. There are still fixes to be made & personalities to be added but the Why? is obvious! Make your life easier! Start with a solid base product, make the changes to suit your style, and free your time to focus on the real work and rewards of teaching – relationship building, classroom management, presentation skills… What? Pacing guides, lesson plans, PDF copies of those problems worked, and homework assignments . Quizzes and tests are also here.
I am very energetic, sometimes annoyingly so perhaps. One thing my students have never called my classes is "boring". My classroom is known for the many origami cranes flying from the ceiling, the giant owl staring out the 3rd floor window, and the microwave and fridge available for students to warm up their lunches. I firmly believe the old adage, "If a student likes you, they will want to please you.

Teaching is the greatest job on earth! Spending my days watching my students grow and learn and stretch themselves is so rewarding! In my spare time I love sitting on the deck with my husband watching the birds and deer, cuddling our two English Setters and one German Shorthair, cooking, traveling, and planning for retirement.
