My primary experience with education has been teaching PreK-3rd grade children in our Charlotte Mason inspired homeschool. We educate for whole child development with a focus on outdoor learning. Prior to my experience with home education, I was a nurse and consultant in the hospital. I spent the majority of my time there educating adults on health topics.
At Red Haven Farm School, we place a focus on learning while outdoors in our Charlotte Mason inspired homeschool. I love teaching different science and history themes through read alouds. I also reinforce science concepts though nature observations, forest walks, and hands on gardening practice. Language Arts and Math are taught with assistance of hands on manipulatives. Math is also reinforced with cooking and baking. I am placing a new focus on family life education to teach my children how to work as a group and social development. Religion/faith building is part of our daily life and is primarily taught through read alouds, scripture practice, and reading comprehension reviews.

Our family is working on building a sustainable family farm. With the help of our extended family, we are carving a farm out of the backwoods of Arkansas.
