I am in my 21st year of teaching and in that time have had the opportunity to teach many different STEM subject areas including Physics, Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry, Forensics, Integrated Math, Robotics, Engineering, and Computer Science. Teaching in a small district means that science teachers wear many hats at times!
Students have so many different learning styles, and high school students are trying to figure out what their learning style is! I like to give my students many options for accessing the curriculum by offering content in many different ways, and having them do as many authentic lab activities and projects as possible.
Yet to be added
I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1996 with a BS in Biology. I worked in biotech and clinical trials administration for about 5 years. I earned an MBA from UMass Boston in 1999. After becoming a teacher I went back to school and received a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from UMass Lowell in 2004. I’m a perpetual student and am continuously taking courses and attending conferences in science and educational technology topic areas.
My goal is to help teachers and inspire students to pursue STEM careers. With all of the demands that are put on teachers every day I hope that my products will help you to focus on your students. I put in a lot of extra time to make sure that the products I create are ready for you to download and use right away. I’m trying to save you time and inspire great lessons!
