Step Out Learning

I began my teaching journey with 10 years as a High School Biology and General Science teacher. Once I became a mother, my adventure continued into early childhood development for 15 years. I have spent the last 6 years teaching Cambridge Primary. I am developing the curriculum for a training centre for care-givers from a disadvantaged community to develop capable, confident, caring nursing aides. We aim to open January 2025 - so each month is one step closer to our dream.

Active, collaborative based learning which allows students to learn in a multi-disciplinary approach. I enjoy stimulating independent learning, thoughtful application and allowing students to showcase their individual creativity. Students who connect with the teacher and their peers connect more easily with the subject matter. I believe that all students can and that we, as teachers need to find the how for each one.

I have raised 2 wonderful children who value doing their best. Their focus is not on results, but the process. They have discovered their passions and are pursuing after school studies towards these. Their talents make me proud. Their kindness, responsibility and empathy are my greatest achievements. I want to share with teachers the kind of resources I wished I had had time to create while I was in the classroom - allowing students to engage with their studies according to their own strengths.
